Alumni Success! How a Class A CDL License Launched a Career in Recruiting!

Driving TrainingSeptember 11, 2020

Whether they stop by to catch up with a favorite instructor, tell us about their new jobs or show off their shiny trucks, we love to hear from our alumni! That’s especially true in the case of David Snyder, Jr., who, after driving for several years, moved into Driver Development and now works as a recruiter for Ward Transportation. Ward Transportation is a regional LTL transporter with 19 service centers across the Midwest and East Coast.

LTL stands for less than truckload and these companies can be especially appealing to the driver who wants the opportunity to return home every night.  Drivers who are looking for more adventure may be attracted to companies specializing in OTR (over the road). OTR companies may offer both regional & dedicated routes that keep drivers within “zones” and allow them to return home on the weekends. These are just a couple of the many job opportunities in the trucking and transportation industry.

Working toward your Class A CDL license at All-State Career School is a little different than other truck driver training schools in the region.  The All-State program is intentionally designed to give graduates more in-depth training and hands-on experience which in turn, opens up more career options, like those at Ward Transportation. This enhanced experience can get you started on your career path faster. As a proud graduate of All-State Career School, David knows first-hand how well-prepared All-State students are, which is why he continues to recruit All-State grads for Ward.

We are thankful to have grads like David, who value the high-quality, hands-on training that All-State Career School provides.  And we are excited that he wants to help our graduates begin successful careers just like his.
