The reason I wanted to become a truck driver was to be able to see the whole country and to make more money with one job instead of working two.
Whenever I started straight out of school I was only doing east coast and then after three months I moved to another job where I was traveling from California to Florida to Washington State and up to Maine.
Right now I’m teaching other people to become CDL truck drivers and I enjoy seeing them get the “ah-ha” moment where they understand what I am talking about. It may take a day, it might take an hour, it might two weeks, but eventually they get the “ah-ha” moment.
I get a one-on-one connection with the students, it just seems to work out that way.
